Until now, most mods for The Sims 4 existed almost entirely on external sites, with only small ones like PugOwned's deer or recreating popular characters as downloadable Sims appearing in The Sims 4's Gallery. CurseForge, under the ownership of Overwolf, has become a popular site for game mods from multiple series, including World of Warcraft and Minecraft. As part of a slew of updates to the series, The Sims 4 recently announced a new dedicated hub at CurseForge for fan-made mods for the game.
